Menopause Treatment Clinic wants everyone to be able to use this website, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or other assistive technology.
Our standard
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. This is the standard the Australian Human Rights Commission points to under the Disability Discrimination Act 1992.
What we have done
- You can zoom in on any page, including pinch-zoom on phones.
- A “Skip to content” link appears on every page when you press Tab, so keyboard users can skip the menu.
- Each page has one main heading, and headings follow a logical order for screen readers.
- The main content area is marked so assistive technology can find it.
- Embedded maps and frames have descriptive titles. The map loads only when you scroll, tap or choose “Show map”. The clinic’s address is shown in text beside it, with a link to open the location in Google Maps.
Known limitations
- Online booking uses HealthEngine, a separate service. We don’t control how accessible its booking window is. If you have trouble booking online, contact us and we’ll book for you.
- The Greene Scale questionnaire is a PDF and may not work well with screen readers. Contact us for another format.
- Contrast, focus indicators and target sizes haven’t yet been tested in a full manual review. We plan to commission an independent WCAG 2.2 AA review.
